Rocky Top Community Center Restoration Project
Good Faith Painting Company helped bring the Rocky Top Community Center restoration across the finish line with surface preparation and painting of its weathered block exterior and selected interior surfaces.
The Finishing Touches on a Community Restoration
The community center building was in poor condition and needed major renovations. Painting was one part of that larger restoration, helping the project reach its final stages.
The block exterior needed particular attention: the crew cleaned and conditioned the surfaces, filled cracks, addressed loose paint, and primed areas before applying the new finish. In the bathroom, they used a stain-blocking primer on the ceiling before repainting.
Led by Paul, the team completed its painting work in three days. The project included exterior painting and pressure washing, with work on walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and windows. The submitted color was a grey match, using Sherwin-Williams products in flat and eggshell finishes.
Preparing Worn Surfaces for Fresh Paint
Pressure washing cleaned the exterior; windows and fixtures were masked and nearby landscaping was protected.
Loose paint was scraped and rough surfaces were sanded before recoating.
Cracks in the block were filled, joints caulked, and nail holes filled where needed.
The block was conditioned and primed; a stain-blocking primer was used on the bathroom ceiling before repainting.
The Building Before Painting
Weathered paint and uneven block surfaces show why preparation mattered on this restoration.

A Fresh Finish for a Community Space
After cleaning, crack filling, conditioning, priming, and painting, the building’s surfaces had a refreshed finish. Good Faith Painting Company’s three-day contribution helped move the broader community center restoration toward completion.
